ABD. MUTALLIB BIN JELANI,

Ringkasan Dalam Perkhidmatan Awam.

Graduated in Town and Regional Planning from University of Melboune, Australia in 1973 had joined the Malaysian public service in February 1974. Since then he had 30 years of urban planning and development control experienceamjFAMILY01s within the government service and heading a number of state Town and Country Planning Departments for the state of Malacca, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang and Johore. He was also involved in the preparation of urban masterplans for regional authority areas when he was a Director of Planning Services in Johore Tenggara Regional Autnority (KEJORA) in 1979-1980, and a Planning Officer in the Pahang Tenggara Regional Authority (DARA) from 1974 till 1976.

Apart from town planning services, he was also involved in the formulation of landscape masterplans for urban areas as well as in the planning and monitoring of selected public parks during his term (1990-1992) as the Director of Public Parks and Landscape Division in the Federal Town and Country Planning Department, Peninsular Malaysia .

He retired from government service on 04-03-2005 and holding his last position as the Director General of Town and Country Planning, Peninsular Malaysia. Besides being a fellow member of the Malaysian Institute of Planners, he was also an active member of the Malaysian Association of Town and Country Planning Officers since its inception in 1990 and had been its President from 1993 - 1996.

In recognition for his excellent services to the Federal and State Governments, he was awarded the Pingat Khidmat Cemerlang Negeri Sembilan (PMC), Pingat Ahli Mangku Negara (AMN), Darjah Setia Mahkota Pahang (SMP), Darjah Paduka Mahkota Perak (PMP), Pingat Kesatria Pangku Negara (KMN), Darjah Dato' Setia Negeri Sembilan (DSNS).
